Anki lost a critical round of funding in 2019, and is no longer in business.
This would mean that developers could produce and publish updates for Vector, that could mimic any plans that Anki had for the product originally. It wouldn’t be easy by any means, and having access to the OS’s source would be a lot easier, but that doesn’t seem likely to happen. Hang on it’ll come back to me. But there is no transparent list what features are wanted and how popular feature wishes are. They need to make it open source.
