I have a full time job and aim to train about four hours a day which really only leaves Sundays and the odd Saturday open for me to work the odd shift. I don't work there, but have a client whose wife is a regional manager or something similar (started as a store employee and worked her way up). Past that, my wife says the pants suck now and are see-through. I didn't like that they tracked how many yoga classes you attended. Toxic people are everywhere, so you risk this working at any store, not just lululemon. Before I started working there I read a lot of bad reviews from previous educators (employees). I worked with advances ballet instructors and a chick that went to worlds for volleyball. The majority of the Lululemon team at my store was white, but we also had a few minorities. This isn’t ok, and doesn’t reflect the company’s culture or expectations for behavior.

There is a decent amount of transparency within the company, and you will learn a lot. They never hire someone for just weekends, you have to be open for at least 20 hours a week and really dedicated to the company. Red in the face. I only know there was a lot of pressure within Lulu to attend, and there was a definite glass ceiling in the company for those people who chose not to attend. Yes the benefits are great etc. Firstly, the perks are awesome. Damn that sucks. i learned how to self manage, fix things before they became a bigger issue, and be constantly on the lookout for ways to improve. really great perks, fun to interact with guests, but eventually it was way too much to handle. the benefits are fun: i was full time and got a great discount and lots of free yoga, regular starbucks runs for the entire staff that day, and always snacks in the back room. One of my managers was super kind and actually asked questions about my culture because she was genuinely curious and wanted to learn more. They see that as a good thing. I was also like 1 of 2 Asians working at my store and never felt like I had to make myself turn white as you called it. One of the floor managers (advanced ballet girl) confronted me at closing wondering why I hadn't organized them back into stacks by color for the end of day because they looked nicer that way.
