I watched this last night,and didn't expect much due to all the miserable write ups,but its Brilliant.Its a different take on the other movies in the franchise and if Star Trek can get away with going down a different timeline so can this.Action all the way.The characters are great,the special effects are far out and Linda Hamilton is back and so is Arnie.For thrills you got terminators,terminators in terminators action left right and center and a likeable cyborg woman who can kick ass amongst other new spins on the old story who helps the good guys and girls,and Linda Hamilton back as Sarah Conner in her 60s,still has what it takes to help keep the new terminator at bay,but as usual he just keeps on coming?.Two hours just went by so quick its exceptional action all the way and yes it has strayed away from the John Conner story but its explained along the way.This time the time travelling nasty is after a girl?Im not going to spoil it,ignore all the negative vibes,ive been watching Terminators since 1984 when I was a mere 18 and I can tell you this movie is,I will go as far as saying Fantastic,I loved it and yes"i,ll be back"was said,but with a difference?.5 stars all the way.enjoy.

Audiences didn’t care about Terminator, so what worked for Force Awakens (a diverse cast of newbies with the franchise stars anchoring a loose remake of the most popular installment) didn’t work for Dark Fate. For the first time since 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Linda Hamilton is returning as the iconic Sarah Connor in the sixth installment of the franchise, which ignores the events of the non-Hamilton sequels and acts as a true follow-up to the original two films from James Cameron, who’s also back creatively involved, serving as producer and co-writer (Arnold Schwarzenegger completes the reunion). And, yeah, we did some CGI.
And I don’t think the movies that came after it really explored that in a clean way like I believe we are, with true consequences, and it makes perfect sense for Sarah to be the one to face those consequences since they were her choices to begin with. I did it for a day – I shot for one day. Then during post production, Hamilton, Schwarzenegger, and Furlong went to Industrial Light and Magic, which was in charge of getting their faces pasted over the body doubles' in the scene. It is one of those monumentally misguided pursuits that annoys me to no end, both because it was painfully predictable and because it does real damage to the entire industry.
