This solved my problem thanks, I can get everything to work up to the point where the game wants to read an amiibo, the file picker prompt just doesn't come up; I thought the issue was that the app didn't ask for storage permission, but even after manually granting them it didn't work, it's like it tries to open a specific file browser that's tied to samsung's ROMs instead of sending a request to the OS to open the default file browser; if that's the case (and it might not be, I don't know shit) then it seems like it would be an easy fix, edit: asked the dev on the discord, samsung firmware has the bluetooth MTU set to 512 bytes, android usually only has around 30; and because the amiibo transfer happens in one packet, the MTU has to be higher than the size of the amiibo data, which is around 300 bytes, so when someone figures out how to increase the bluetooth MTU, it should theoretically work on any phone that can run android 9+, So maybe the dev knows about? EXACT problem I'm having. It was kind of working last night and I had no issues prior.

The Amiibo function is AC:NH is timed, so if you take too long navigating to the correct folder or digging through 100 files for the one you want can lead to frustration. This worked perfectly for me after I paired the left joycon, entered the game, THEN paired the pro controller. The Amiibo card data - I can't list where to get these, but a simple google search will point you in the right direction. edit: having trouble, as others are, actually getting from loading the .bin to the Switch agreeing that an Amiibo has been scanned!
So I emulate a left Joycon, then go into Animal Crossing, then pair as a Pro controller (as you can't play AC:NH with only one joy-con), and now I'm at the point where I can scan card .bins.
I know a lot of you have had varying issues with getting this method to work.

UPDATE: Nintendo pushed update 10.0.1 on 4/24. Note: you must use the emulator to access the Nook Amiibo terminal, so its best just to use it as you would a normal controller while your inviting villagers.
